Makeup is a fun way to enhance our existing gorgeous features or gives us an entirely new look.
And if you know what you’re doing, the transformation can be quite astonishing.
Vloggers are always sharing their makeup tips so we can try out these looks at home.
You can often find tips about these tricks on vlogger Alyona of Aly Art’s YouTube page.
“Hi guys! My name is Alyona. I was born in Russia. I’m a musician. And I love art, makeup, fashion, style and beautiful environments. I love playing with makeup and fashion, but at the same time, I’m quite a minimalistic person,” she writes.
One of Aly’s videos, which has more than 12 million views, shows us how to create the illusion of having larger eyes without having a heavy makeup look.
She gives us eight different tricks that can be used separately or all together to achieve the appearance of having larger eyes.
Trick 1: Dab concealer around your eyes. This will create a blank canvas and allow you to create a new eye shape that’s larger. Apply it to the top of your lip, above the lid, and below your lower eyelash line. You can also dab some on the outside of the bridge of your nose on either side.
Tip 2: Apply some white eye shadow all over the lid of your eye. The matte color will ensure that your mask up isn’t reflecting light and drawing attention to the actual shape of your eye and instead allows you to create a new shape.
Tip 3: Use a neutral matte eyeshadow and apply it at and above the crease of your eye. It should be well blended upwards.
Tip No. 4: Apply a natural eye shadow color that mimics the colors of the natural shadows that your are created on your face when you smile. This will make your eyes huge and round. Apply this below your lower lash line. You’ll blend this later.
Tip No. 5: Take a wet thin brush and apply a dark brown or grey color to your upper lash line. Stay close to your lashes. You can prolong the lash line toward the corner of your eye closest to your nose. Prolong it to the outer corner of your eye. Then apply some from the upper cover of your eye toward your lower lash line.
Tip No. 6: Use white mascara from base to tip of your upper lashes. Apply one or two layers. Do the same on your bottom lashes but use three coats.
Tip No. 7: Use a brown volumizing mascara brown and move the brush to the side of the container and pull your brush out so one side of the brush has a lot of mascara and the other side doesn’t. Use the side with lots of mascara and apply only to the tips of your upper and lower eyelashes. This will prevent your look from getting too heavy. Blend your eyeshadow under eyelashes.
Tip No. 8: Now you’ll draw a “last lash to lift your eyes up. Use a wet thin brush on some grey eyeshadow to create a winged look. Find your last eyelash on the corner of your eye and mimic this look by extending your brush from the corner of the eye outward.
