Two Talented Pianists Bring The House Down With “Boogie Woogie”
I don't think I've ever seen fingers move so fast. They are phenomenal.

Are four hands better than two? See, a standard piano has 88 keys. Now it’s safe to assume that musicians, especially pianists, take good care of their hands. Those ten fingers can produce magic when trained well. Now imagine twenty flowing over a piano at the same time.

With thousands of pianists out there, it takes creativity and entertainment to stand out when wanting to post your talents.

It starts off with one pianist, Arthur Migliazza, showing off his skills in “Boogie Woogie” piano mastery at the NAMM show.

Doña Oxford is the second pianist but she faces away pretending to do some work trying to act like she doesn’t want to join in. She can’t resist though and eventually voices out that she wants in.

It’s a good thing she joined in too!

Doña is right in with her equally impressive finger skills, and the song steps up a whole notch. Or even double of that! She jumps up on the tremble end of the piano offering some of the higher notes to complement our first pianists melodies.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the flurry of notes.

Both musicians reach over each other to play different parts of the keyboard. Their fingers are super quick! Hard to tell if this was rehearsed or totally impromptu. Or even a mix of both.

Not wanting to be outdone, the second pianist reaches around to play the very lowest notes on the piano. Sharing the piano means sharing the spotlight too! Now you pianists watching this better step it up!

Great pianists think alike it would seem. So why not make it more difficult?

Arthur stands up and swaps seats with Doña! What follows is a superhuman display of piano playing. No way this was all practice. There must be some form of potion or spell these two aren’t telling us about.

These two embody the music they’re playing.

The way they move while they play just shows how the music is coming straight from the heart. It’s an outpouring of emotions. Everything these two feel from the moment they wake up to before they sleep are resonating from that piano.

Although it sounds as if they play together every day, these two pianist don’t get to play together often!

Doña told See It Live:

“Arthur and I don’t play together often, but this 4-handed, switching places boogie is a common schtick among all boogie players. We are a small community of players/friends with a common love for this rare style of music, so when we’re together, it’s always an honor to ‘jam’ with each other in the manner.”

Who needs sheet music when you obviously have a telepathic connection with your playing partner? They change up and compliment each other’s playing in a way that seems as if they’ve got to be plugged into the same other-worldly music source. Matrix level stuff.
