First, take an empty piece of discarded toilet paper roll and then fold it a bit to make it easy to measure.

Next, take a ruler and start measuring about 1.8 cm/0.7 inch wide strips.

You will get about five strips from the one toilet paper that you have. So be sure to cut out as many paper strips as you want to decorate your Christmas tree with, which means you’ll be needing more than one toilet paper roll.

Next, take your scraps of yarn and use a triangle to cut off long strips that measure at 35 centimeters/14 inches long. You can use a variety of colors for your yarns. Take one piece of yarn, folded in half and then have it placed within the strip. Be sure to keep the loop and the ends on the other side of the strip. Pull the yarn and then set up evenly within the strip

Now take a piece of yarn and then tied around the other threads so that the upper part like a pom-pom. Trim the extra loose ends using a pair of scissors to ensure the pom looks fluffy and round. But be careful not to trim the thread that was used for tying or else you won’t be able to hang your hat.

And now precious little yarn hats are ready for decoration.
